Actress Kate Henshaw, pleads all good Nigerians to save sick boy

Popular Nollywood  actress Kate Henshaw is going cap in hand soliciting financial support for an ailing little child simply called Michael.

Michael and his mother were found begging for alms around the bridge descent to Muson centre, Lagos a few days ago by Instagram user named Temeetee.

Temeetee then posted the pictures and captioned it:

“On my way to work, I saw this boy being carried by his mother and asking alms around the bridge descent to Muson centre, Onikan. I can’t but imagine the magnitude of pain this child would be going through.  On speaking with the mother, she was advised to take him to the hospital rather than multiplying the sufferings of the boy by bundling him around traffic. She complained of lack of enough funds to take him to the hospital for treatment. I gave her my widow’s mite and got her contact before releasing her to go. I know the power of social media, how that total strangers have been assisted in the past and I am convinced that spirited individuals would rise to the occasion. 

Please help rebroadcast and raise the necessary support until this boy gets the needed help from the appropriate authorities. The Mothers name is Mary and her phone number is 08100541485. 

You may not need to reach me further as this is the only information I could muster before I left them. Please call her to speak to her. (Her line is currently switched off due to low battery). Let’s help this suffering boy and give him a reason to smile again!!!!” Michael’s photos went viral and caught Nollywodd actress Kate Hensahw’s attention who has now taken it upon herself to get help for the young boy. 

Henshaw linked up with Temeetee and hunt for Michael and his mother after which she took them to Lekki Motherless Babies home. After finding the Michael and his mother Kate Henshaw said: “Huge thanks again to Titilayo and her boss for looking out for Mary and Michael and keeping them till we got there. We need to be careful..to do the right thing by her and her child. Mary was given a change of clothes by the home and so I held Michael for a bit.

 

Tears filled my eyes… She promised me not to run away again. They are on their way to the CMD of LUTH for a proper diagnosis. The boy now been taken to Lagos state University Teaching Hospital where a proper diagnosis of Michael will be done.”

 Meanwhile Michael needs financial help to help treat his ailment and Kate Henshaw is soliciting for help on his behalf. Aside acting, Kate Henshaw is a special adviser to the Akwa Ibom state governor on Tourism.
