Senator George Akume has arrived Nigeria exactly a week after his colleague Senator David Mark won the senatorial election in Benue Zone C.
During his absence due to illness there were rumours here and there that he has died. George Akume who was believed to be sponsor of Mr. Daniel Onjeh, the APC senatorial candidate, played a role in the election even in his absence.
He was seen by many Idomas as a godfather who would control Idoma politics if Mr. Onjeh wins and many Tiv people were not happy with his interference.
Senator George Akume arrives looking lively and hearty after brief illness.
