He recently stopped for a conversation with Ghanaian site Ghkwaku, and when asked why he doesn’t like to stay in Ghana, the award-winning actor was quick to respond;
‘Well, I know, but the likes of Abdul Sallam Mumuni and other movie producers have refused to cast me in recent times for one reason or the other, I can’t really tell why’.
In recent times, the Ghanaian Movie industry has seen actors and actresses such as Yvonne Nelson, Kafui Danku, Juliet Ibrahim, Prince David Osei, Eddie Nartey and more producing their own movies.
It could well be that famous actors and actresses are a lot more expensive now and producers do not get their money’s worth from the cinema premieres and selling of television rights when they pay huge sums for artists.
