Latest update:Boko Haram plan fresh attack in Abuja- see list of areas likely to be attacked

Military and security agencies in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are on red alert over intelligence reports that some areas in Abuja may likely come under terrorist attacks.

These areas include; on Suleja, Niger State, near Abuja, Gwagwalada, Garki, Central Business District, targeted public buildings and installations among others. Suleja is said to be the area that is most likely to be attacked first.

According to a reliable security source who spoke to Daily Sun, the terrorists are planning to penetrate Abuja through 4 probable axis - Bwari/Ka­duna, Abuja/Keffi, Abuja/Lo­koja and Abuja/Kaduna expressways.

The source also revealed that some Boko Haram foot soldiers have been released into the city and they have taken up menial jobs and trading and mostly sleep in the motor parks, Mosques and other public places.

To this end, the Military has deployed more Rapid Response Squad (RRS) units in every nook and cranny of the FCT. Residents are also urged to be very vigilant and look out for strangers in their domain. It will be recalled that an 11-year-old Boko haram spy was recently apprehended at the Nnamdi Azikiwe nternational Airport, Abuja.
