its match against Chad.
The Super Eagles were formally ranked as the

dropped to 57th in the world and 10th in Africa.
This comes despite the victory against Chad. The African countries
topping Nigeria in ranking are: Algeria (19th), Ivory Coast (21st),
Ghana 25th), Tunisia (32), Senegal (39), Cameroon (42th), Congo (47th),
Cape Verde Island (52nd), Egypt (55th).
The top ten in order are: Argentina, Germany, Belgium, Columbia, Netherlands, Brazil, Portugal, Romania, England and Wales.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that it is in talks
with former Super Eagles’ captain, Sunday Oliseh, with regards to the
vacant position of the team’s head coach.
It would be recalled that the NFF at the weekend terminated the
appointment of another former captain, Stephen Keshi, over allegations
that he breached the terms of his contract.
Nigeria is currently campaigning at the qualifiers for the 2016 Cup of
Nations which will take place in Gabon. They won the tournament in 2013.
