Ikorodu RD: Soldiers go on rampage after one of theirs is hit by BRT bus

According to eyewitness reports, soldiers went on a rampage on Ikorodu road after one of their colleagues was run down by a BRT bus. Apparently, the soldier who was a passenger on an okada, was run down by a BRT bus and left to die, instead of being rushed to a hospital. The incident was spotted by another soldier passing by who called for back up from his base.
Soldiers who came to the site of the accident became incensed upon seeing their colleague, blocked the road and descended on BRT buses in the area, setting a few on fire. Further incensed by the absence of the accused bus driver, they descended on civilians in their quest for retribution.
It appears the soldiers need reminding that their duty is to protect the territorial integrity of the country and to protect civilians from harm. Not to attack civilians and destroy government property.
